Description
This original painting of the Cape Romano Dome House is the first in a series. Originally built in 1982, the unique Dome House consisted of six dome-shaped modules sitting on stilts. It became a victim of hurricanes and land erosion and ended up partially submerged under water approximately 300 feet offshore from Cape Romano Island. It was a popular tourist attraction until September of 2022 when Hurricane Ian unforgivingly sank it, with the exception of only some of the pilings remaining above water.
The finished size of this piece is 24″ x 24″ with a depth of 0.75″. A floating frame is available with a lead time of two to four weeks.
This painting was carefully coated with a UV protective varnish to protect from fading. Also included is the hanging hardware.
